What Is Fibrosarcoma?

Fibrosarcoma is a malignant tumor arising from fibroblasts (cells that produce connective tissue). that produce connective tissue such as collagen. Fibrosarcoma tumors consequently rich in collagen fibers. That is, the proliferation of immature fibroblasts take a braid, or herringbone pattern. type of sarcoma is primarily found in the area around the bone or in soft tissue.

Fibrosarcomas can be formed from fibroblasts in soft tissues such as muscle, connective tissue, blood vessels, joints, and fat. Soft tissue fibrosarcoma normally occurs in the fibrous tissue of the body trunk and extremities such as arms and legs. Fibrosarcomas soft tissue is extremely rare, with about 500 new cases reported each year.

Fibrosarcoma In bone cancer.

Fibrosarcoma can also occur in bone. While the bone consists of inorganic molecules such as calcium phosphate, also has an organic element made of collagen 95%, similar to collagen found in skin. Fibrosarcomas bone usually occurs in long bones in the bone marrow cavity where collagen is formed. Dominated bone fibrosarcomas results are those in the legs, arms, pelvis, and hips.

Bone sarcomas are rare and represent about 0.2 percent of all new cancer cases each year. Fibrosarcomas usually develops in people between the ages of 25-79. Peak age incidence is 55-69 years. Generally, fibrosarcomas develop the same in men and women, although they are rare in children.
Infantile fibrosarcoma, also known as congenital fibrosarcoma or juvenile fibrosarcoma, is unique. Based on microscopic examination, it is similar to fibrosarcomas seen in adults. However, infantile fibrosarcomas have a more positive prognosis with the level of post-treatment, five-year survival from 83% to 94%.

9 Symptoms of Fibrosarcoma of bone cancer is;

1. painful
2. swelling
3. firm lumps under the skin or bone
4. fracture

5. inhibit the normal range of motion
6. Neurological symptoms
7. gastrointestinal bleeding (seen in soft tissue abdominal fibrosarcomas)
8. urinary frequency (seen in pelvic fibrosarcomas)
9. urinary obstruction (seen in pelvic fibrosarcomas)

Prevention of Fibrosarcoma, Bone Cancer

Prevention of cancer can be helped by avoiding chemical carcinogens such as alpha-naphthylamine, carbon tetrachloride, and benzene. Another way to avoid cancer is to minimize exposure to penetrating radiation such as x-rays and radioactive elements. Medical x ray revolutionized the field of medicine and is used to detect and treat many diseases. In most cases, medical x-ray benefits outweigh the risks.
