14 Lung Cancer Symptoms and Signs

Lung cancer is one disease that dangerous and according to the World Health Organization (WHO), lung cancer is the leading cause of death in the group of cancer in both men and women.
Work affected by exposure to asbestos, radiation, arsenic, chromate, nickel, chloromethyl ethers, mustard gas and coke oven emissions can cause lung cancer, although usually only occurs in workers who also smoke.

If you have symptoms of lung cancer as below, it must be vigilant because the chances of developing lung cancer.

1. Shortness of breath and wheezing like an asthmatic

2. New cough in a smoker or former smoker should raise awareness for lung cancer.

3. A cough that does not go away or gets worse from time to time should be evaluated by a health care provider.

4. Coughing up blood (hemoptysis) occurs in a large number of people suffering from lung cancer. Any amount of coughed-blood is a cause for concern.

5. Chest pain is a symptom in about a quarter of people with lung cancer. The pain is dull, aching, and persistent.

6. Shortness of breath usually results from blockage of airflow in the lung, collection of fluid around the lungs (pleural effusion), or the spread of tumors throughout the lungs.

7. Wheezing or hoarseness may signal blockage or inflammation in the lungs that may go along with cancer.
